Motorcycles blend into the background and are hard to see. Motorcycle drivers also need to also watch out for cars. Riding a motorcycle requires 110 percent of you attention all the time.

There are also kids out in the streets playing, riding their bicycles and skate boarding. Drivers need to be on the look out for them. They are not always paying attention. Those who are riding bicycles need to remember that they are required by law to stop at stop signs and red lights. They have to obey the traffic laws just like a car. Always remember to wear a helmet.

Farmers are getting into the fields which mean there will be tractors, along with slow moving vehicles on the roadways. They have just as much right to be there as other vehicles. Slow down give them some space.

Some basic traffic safety tips, always wear your seatbelt. Obey the speed limit; limits are posted for a reason. You can be stopped for doing one mile over the posted limit. There is no five to eight mile an hour leeway. That’s called speeding.

We all need to slow down, share the road and take our time. Let’s make spring an enjoyable time.
