Beulah E. Morgan

Beulah E. Morgan, 85, of Newton died Friday, April 4, 2014, at her home at Park Centre. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 9 at the Wallace Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Newton, with visitation starting at 10 a.m. Memorials in Beulah’s name may be left at the funeral home.

Beulah, the daughter of George Elbert and Doris Mae (Lee) Clark, was born on Dec. 18, 1928, in Maryville. She grew up in Hamilton but shortly after graduating high school, Beulah moved to Newton. On Feb. 28, 1953, Beulah was united in marriage with Wyles Morgan in Princeton, Mo. Living in Newton, she worked for the Maytag Company, and in the bakery at Stockton’s Super Value and Hy-Vee. In her free time, Beulah enjoyed playing bingo and various card games. She loved to bake and cook for her family and took over cooking responsibilities during the holidays. Beulah was also a breast cancer survivor.

Those left to honor Beulah’s memory are her daughter, Debbie (William) Lacy of Newton; her three grandchildren, Jennifer (Scott) Padgett of Newton, Angie Lacy of Newton, and Amber (Daniel) Oswalt of Newton; her seven great-grandchildren, Dalton, Dillon, Maddy, Tyler, Ethan, Jade and Brannen; her siblings, Norma Modlin of Newton, Roy (Joanne) Clark of Bussey, and Richard Clark of Newton; and her many nieces and nephews including Jeanne Cron, Brad Modlin, Kyle and Kevin Clark. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wyles Morgan; daughter, Donna Morgan; and her many brothers and sisters.
