Keith and Sarah Pittman of Newton announce the birth of their son, Gavin Scott Pittman, on Jan. 29, 2014, at Skiff Medical Center in Newton.
He weighed 8 pounds, 7 ounces, and was 21 inches in length.
Grandparents are Miriam and Scott Carlson of Stanhope and Doug and Pam Pittman of Jewell.
Great-grandparents are Marj and the late Ed Nass of Webster City, Garwin and Marcia Carlson of Klamath Falls, Ore., and Douglas and Shirley Pittman and James and Violet Lawrence, all of Ashton, Ill.
