Jasper County Criminal Court Dispositions

The following cases were heard in Jasper County District Court during the week of Feb. 3-7.

• Sara Ann Flake, 29, pleaded guilty to OWI first offense, a serious misdemeanor. Judge Steven Holwerda sentenced her to two days in jail and levied a $1,250 fine.

• Benjamin Lloyd Goodwin, 23, pleaded guilty to interference with official acts, a simple misdemeanor. Judge Steven Holwerda levied a $65 fine. An additional count of OWI first offense was dismissed by the court.

• Jeffery Lynn Hautekeete, 50, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine greater than 5 grams, a Class B felony. Judge Richard Clogg sentenced him to 25 years in prison. A $1,000 fine was suspended and an additional count of arson was dismissed by the court.

• Jeremy John Jones, 21, pleaded guilty to trespassing, a simple misdemeanor. Magistrate Judge Jonathan Noble levied a $150 fine.

• Kimberly Lynn Parrish, 35, pleaded guilty to third-degree theft, an aggravated misdemeanor. Judge Steven Holwerda issued a deferred judgment with one year probation and a $625 civil penalty. An additional count of possession of a controlled substance was dismissed by the court.

• Russell Glenn Quick Jr., 31, pleaded guilty to trespassing, a simple misdemeanor. Magistrate Judge Jonathan Noble levied a $65 fine.

• Jeremy Lee Rasmusson, 34, pleaded guilty to a prescription drug violation, first offense. Judge Steven Holwerda sentenced him to 30 days in jail.

• Krystle Lee Valentine, 30, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance, a serious misdemeanor. Judge Steven Holwerda sentenced her to two days in jail and levied a $315 fine.

• Roy James Wagner, 30, pleaded guilty to public consumption or intoxication, a simple misdemeanor. Judge Steven Holwerda levied a $100.

The following cases were heard in Jasper County District Court during the week of Feb. 10-14.

• Tiffany Lea Bailey, 23, pleaded guilty to OWI first offense, a serious misdemeanor. Judge Steven Holwerda issued a deferred judgment with one year probation and levied a $1,250 civil penalty.

• Bandak Wiyual Deng, 26, pleaded guilty to driving while license revoked, a serious misdemeanor. Judge Steven Holwerda sentenced him to two days in jail and levied a $1,000 fine.

• Michael Raymond Endersbe, 40, pleaded guilty to OWI first offense, a serious misdemeanor. Judge Steven Holwerda sentenced him to two days in jail and levied a $1,250 fine.

• Holly Marie Freese, 32, pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of prescription drugs, a serious misdemeanor. Judge Randy Hefner issued a deferred judgment with one year probation and levied a $315 civil penalty.

• Behailu Regassa Gemechu, 28, pleaded guilty to public consumption or intoxication, a simple misdemeanor. Judge Steven Holwerda levied a $65 fine.

• Logan Edward Harlow, 24, pleaded guilty to third-degree theft, an aggravated misdemeanor. Judge Steven Holwerda sentenced him to 20 days in jail and levied a $625 fine.

• Latasha Rae Harris-Pearson, 19, pleaded guilty to assault causing bodily injury, a serious misdemeanor. Judge Steven Holwerda sentenced her to 60 days in jail and levied a $325 fine. She also pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance, a serious misdemeanor. Holwerda sentenced her to 30 days in jail and levied a $315 fine on that conviction. Additional counts of interference with a DCS officer and fourth-degree criminal mischief were dismissed by the court.

• Joseph Thomas Hedman, 34, pleaded guilty to OWI second offense, an aggravated misdemeanor. Judge Steven Holwerda sentenced him to 180 days in jail, all but 15 suspended, and one year probation. He also levied a $1,875 fine.

• Fredrick Daniel Hitze, 24, pleaded guilty to harassment of public officials, a simple misdemeanor. Magistrate Judge Jonathan Noble levied a $65 fine.

• Spencer Lee Johnston, 24, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct — fighting or other violent behavior — a simple misdemeanor. Judge Steven Holwerda levied a $65 fine.

• Tammy Jo Kappel, 42, pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of a prescription drug, a serious misdemeanor. Judge Steven Holwerda issued a deferred judgment with one year probation and levied a $315 civil penalty. Two additional counts of wanton neglect in a health care facility were dismissed by the court.

• Michelle Sue Kohrs, 35, pleaded guilty to fifth-degree theft, a simple misdemeanor. Judge Steven Holwerda levied a $150 fine.

• Paul Dean Pearson, 37, pleaded guilty to OWI second offense, an aggravated misdemeanor. Judge Steven Holwerda sentenced him to seven days in jail and levied a $1,875 fine.

• Rachel Marie Richardson, 21, pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor. Judge Steven Holwerda levied a $65 fine.

• Ali Fay Rosenkranz, 20, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance, a serious misdemeanor. Judge Steven Holwerda sentenced her to two days in jail and levied a $315 fine.

• Michael Alan Wilson, 31, pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of a prescription drug, a serious misdemeanor. Judge Steven Holwerda issued a deferred judgment with one year probation and levied a $315 civil penalty. An additional count of possession of a controlled substance was dismissed by the court.

The following cases were heard in Jasper County District Court during the week of Feb. 17-21.

• Ashley Elizabeth Brown, 29, pleaded guilty to fifth-degree theft, a simple misdemeanor. Judge Steven Holwerda levied a $100 fine.

• Amy Lynn Duffy, 30, pleaded guilty to third-degree theft, an aggravated misdemeanor. Judge Steven Holwerda sentenced her to two years in prison, suspended, and two years probation. He also levied a $625 fine.

• Brenda May Hassin, 53, pleaded guilty to OWI first offense, a serious misdemeanor. Judge Steven Holwerda sentenced her to two days in jail and levied a $1,250 fine.

• Tammy Marie Heck, 32, pleaded guilty to OWI first offense, a serious misdemeanor. Judge Steven Holwerda issued a deferred judgment with one year probation and levied a $1,250 civil penalty.

• Amy Elizabeth Hellickson, 26, pleaded guilty to assault causing bodily injury, a serious misdemeanor. Judge Steven Holwerda sentenced her to two days in jail and levied a $315 fine. An additional count of child endangerment without injury was dismissed.

• Jeremy Anthony Horrach, 25, pleaded guilty to public consumption or intoxication, a simple misdemeanor. Magistrate Judge Jonathan Noble levied a $150 fine.

• Timothy David Jacobs, 26, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance, a serious misdemeanor. Judge Martha Mertz sentenced him to 45 days in jail.

• Cody Lee Kessler, 26, pleaded guilty to accessory to a felony, an aggravated misdemeanor. Judge Steven Holwerda sentenced him to two years in prison, suspended, and two years probation. He also levied a $625 fine.

• A charge of fifth-degree theft against Lisa Marie Osborn, 41, was dismissed by the court.

• Jamie Jo Ray, 33, pleaded guilty to first-degree fraudulent practices, a Class C felony. Judge Martha Mertz issued a deferred judgment with three years probation and levied a $1,000 civil penalty.

• Kelsie Dawn Spears, 21, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance, a serious misdemeanor. Judge Steven Holwerda sentenced her to 10 days in jail and levied a $315 fine. She also pleaded guilty to third-degree harassment, a simple misdemeanor. Holwerda sentenced her to 10 days in jail, concurrent with the other sentence, and levied an additional $65 fine.

• Kelly Lee Taft, 38, pleaded guilty to reckless driving, a simple misdemeanor. Judge Steven Holwerda levied a $200 fine.

• Martin Robert Waddle, 46, pleaded guilty to driving while barred as a habitual offender, an aggravated misdemeanor. Judge Steven Holwerda sentenced him to 60 days in jail and levied a $625 fine. Work release was permitted.

• Jenna Sue Yeager, 28, pleaded guilty to third-degree theft, an aggravated misdemeanor. Judge Steven Holwerda issued a deferred judgment with one year probation and levied a $625 civil penalty.

• Sherry Lynn Yoakum, 50, pleaded guilty to identity theft, a Class D felony. Judge Steven Holwerda issued a deferred judgment with two years probation and levied a $750 civil penalty.

The following cases were heard in Jasper County District Court during the week of Feb. 24-28.

• Scott Keith Auten, 47, pleaded guilty to OWI second offense, an aggravated misdemeanor. Judge Steven Holwerda sentenced him to 90 days in jail, all but seven suspended, and two years probation. He also levied a $1,875 fine.

• Miguel Jose Barrett, 21, pleaded guilty to assault causing bodily injury, a serious misdemeanor. Judge Steven Holwerda issued a deferred judgment with one year probation and levied a $315 civil penalty.

• Jane Leann Bergantzel, 46, pleaded guilty to OWI first offense, a serious misdemeanor. Judge Steven Holwerda issued a deferred judgment with one year probation and levied a $1,250 civil penalty.

• Brayden Michael Boock, 19, pleaded guilty to assault causing bodily injury, a serious misdemeanor. Judge Steven Holwerda issued a deferred judgment with one year probation and levied a $315 civil penalty.

• Dakota Walkie Charles Cook, 21, pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor. Magistrate Judge Jonathan Noble levied a $100 fine.

• Natasha Jean Cooper, 26, pleaded guilty to a Class B felony drug violation. Judge Martha Mertz sentenced her to 25 years in prison. A $10,000 fine was suspended and additional counts of a Class D felony drug violation and failure to affix a drug tax stamp, four counts of possession of a controlled substance, and unlawful possession of a prescription drug were dismissed.

• Timothy James Cottrell, 49, pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of a controlled substance, a serious misdemeanor. Judge Steven Holwerda sentenced him to five days in jail and levied a $315 fine on the first count. He sentenced Cottrell to 180 days in jail, all but five suspended, to be served concurrently, and levied a $315 fine, on the second count.

• Nathan William Dewar, 24, pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of a controlled substance and three counts of unlawful possession of a prescription drug, all of which are serious misdemeanors. Judge Steven Holwerda sentenced him to 180 days in jail, all but 80 days suspended and credit for time already served, and one year probation on each count, to be served concurrently. Holwerda also levied a $315 fine on each conviction. Additional counts of a Class B felony drug violation and possession of marijuana second offense, and six counts of unlawful possession of a prescription drug were dismissed by the court.
