Parents and teachers of students in the Drake Head Start program at the Emerson Hough building in Newton teamed up to build an igloo on Jan. 29. The project was done as a way to get parents more actively involved in their child’s education and because it fit with the program’s curriculum on building. The igloo was made from approximately 468 plastic jugs.
