Rock Creek State Park deer population management hunt

The annual Rock Creek State Park deer hunt for youth and disabled persons is set for Nov. 9 and 10.

The goal for this hunt is to harvest 25 antlerless deer from within the park in order to continue to control the local population.

The park and lake will be closed to the general public beginning at 10:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8. Only the selected hunters and their mentors will be allowed in the park until it re-opens on Monday, Nov. 11. Any questions can be directed to the Rock Creek State Park Office at (641) 236-3722.
