A Smart Choice: Health Insurance workshop offered by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach is planned 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18, in DMACC Newton Campus Room 210A to help participants understand their options and make the best decisions for their situation.

The workshop will be led by Margaret VanGinkel, extension family finance specialist, and will be non-commercial and non-political. She will introduce the new Health Insurance Marketplace — what it is and how to use it — and will describe the cost reductions available to many Iowans through the Marketplace. Participants also will build information and skills for choosing a health insurance policy that fits their needs.

Registration is required.  To register, contact the Jasper County Extension office at (641) 792-6433.
