DMACC to honor veterans

The Des Moines Area Community College Newton Campus will honor veterans in a special ceremony on Veterans Day, Monday, Nov. 11.

DMACC Newton Campus student and 32-year Army Veteran Gary Barrett will speak at 1 p.m.  Following his presentation, Freedom Flight Organizer Doug Bishop will introduce a special showing of the Jasper County Freedom Flight’s recent trips to Washington, D.C., which includes interviews with Jasper County Veterans. 

The event is free and open to the public.
