Domestic Violence Awareness Month

The Crisis Center serves as a women’s shelter for several regional counties, including Jasper. The United Way of Jasper County and the Crisis Center are hosting a candlelight vigil at 6 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, in the United Way parking lot, 312 First Ave. W., to honor the memory of Iowa victims of domestic abuse. The public is invited, and individuals will read victim stories.
