Holy Trinity Lutheran Church announces education schedule

Holy Trinity Lutheran Church has announced its upcoming education schedule.

Youth Discipleship Christian Education will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.  The weekly program is designed for students in preschool through sixth grade. The focus of the program is to help youth learn what it means to be a disciple of Jesus. The program includes Bible teaching, music, games and a light supper. The program has been well-received by youth and parents the past three years. It is open to all.

A Confirmation study for seventh and eighth graders will begin at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 29, at Holy Trinity. The unusual time for this weekly class is to accommodate students whose complex schedule doesn’t permit participation in confirmation classes scheduled at more traditional times. There is still time to enroll. Contact Pastor Ken Ahntholz at (641) 792-1683 or pastor@htlchurch.com for additional information.

“The Power of Persistent Prayer” by Cindy Jacobs will be the study guide for an intergenerational Sunday morning study.  The study will help those who want prayer to have a greater impact in their relationship with God, family, friends and the larger community. Adults and high school students are welcome to join in the study beginning at 9 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 15.

Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 1409 S. Eighth Ave. E., is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. The congregation has a strong history of quality Christian education, engaging liturgical worship and commitment to mission, especially in supporting hunger projects. The facility is handicapped-accessible.
