Swimming not recommended at Red Rock North Overlook Beach due to bacteria

Published: Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013 11:29 a.m. CDT

A recent bacteria sampling at the Lake Red Rock North Overlook Beach shows elevated bacterial counts, and the beach will be posted “Swimming Not Recommended” until further testing indicates low bacteria counts.

Test results from the Whitebreast Beach and the main body of the lake had extremely low bacterial counts.

All other U.S. Corps of Engineers recreation areas around the lake and below the Red Rock Dam are open at this time.
