DES MOINES — Aurora Heights Elementary School Principal Carol Farver is among the 19 Iowans who will serve on a state council to study and recommend new statewide systems for evaluating Iowa teachers and school administrators.
The Council on Educator Development was established as part of House File 215, the landmark education reform bill adopted by Iowa lawmakers.
The council will meet for the first time on Oct. 4. The meeting will be from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Room B100 of the Grimes State Office Building. Meetings are open to the public.
