Primetime Fellowship

On July 25, 48 Primetimers of Community Heights Alliance Church enjoyed breakfast at Maytag Park.

Judy and Larry Bell arranged the outing, and Pastor John Patterson opened with prayer. All enjoyed the breakfast casseroles, sausage and biscuits and gravy, breakfast rolls, fruit and juice. Pastor Mike Osterbauer led group singing, and Shirley Osborn led devotions using “31 Days of Encouragement as we Grow Older”  written by Ruth Myers. This is a new book added to the church library.

All age 55 and older are welcome to attend these events. Some require reservations, and you can sign up for them at the Information Center.

On Monday, Aug. 19, 67 enjoyed a potluck meal in the gathering room at Community Heights Alliance Church. Pastor John led devotions from First John 4, “Perfect Love that only God can give.” Ron Nearmyer welcomed all, and hosts for the evening were Maxine Atwood, Peggy Maston, Ed and Mary Rozendaal, Glennys Ward, Bert Doane and Keith and Marilyn Schwartz. Those celebrating birthdays and anniversaries were Pastor John, Jim Douglas and Pete and LaDonna Rozendaal. Door prizes awarded to Eleanor Dille, Evalee Hunderdosse, Lori Swanson and Ed Rozendaal. Hosts for the evening will be Larry and Judy Bell, Larry and Illa Engle, Freda Ahrens and Janice Lyman. The Thursday, Sept. 26, lunch in Kalona has a seating limit of 40.
