Despite not meeting last week, there are not a lot of pressing county issues on the agenda for the Jasper County Board of Supervisors meeting Tuesday.

Jasper County Engineer Russ Stutt will present a bid to the board for the purchase of a new aluminum box culvert. The only bid of $18,494.25 comes from Contech Construction Products Inc. based in West Chesterfield, Ohio.

Jasper County Conservation Director Kerri Van Zante will present an update to the board on the restoration project at Lake Mariposa.  The Iowa Department of Natural Resources has Mariposa classified under its Lake Restoration Program as a Project in Outreach; Evaluation/Planning stage.

Over the last few years, several projects have been done at the lake, including a waterway project in 2009 and the instillation of 3.9 acres of wetland last year. The DNR also has plans to map Lake Mariposa this year.

The board also will vote on whether to approve Jasper County Record Nancy Parrott’s report this month. Parrott’s office collected $22,679.01 in July.
