Equipment checkout for Newton seventh-grade football team is Monday and Tuesday at the middle school small gym. Players are to enter Berg Middle School at the northwest entrance, near the softball field.
Players with last names starting with A-M check out is from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday and players with last names starting with N-Z check out is 3 p.n. to 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Newton seventh-grade football coach Darin Tisdale also announced a player informational meet plus the first practice for seventh-grade football will be the first day of school, Wednesday, Aug. 21. Players are to meet in the cafeteria after school and should have completed physical forms to turn in.
Practice ends at 4:30 p.m.
A seventh-grade football player and parent meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 26 at Berg Middle School cafeteria.
