Lauren Nook got to make a special birthday wish with Ronald McDonald during his McDiggin’ It Magic Show on Monday at the Newton Public Library.

Alyssa Lepley adds her pop can tabs to the collection for the Ronald McDonald House in Des Moines. Local children collected pop tabs all summer for the house. The Ronald McDonald House is a place for families to stay at no charge while their seriously ill child is in the hospital. Ronald McDonald’s visit to the Newton Public Library was provided by the local Newton McDonald’s. Approximately 200 children attended.
