The annual Jasper County Barnyard Babies contest will be on Saturday, July 20, at the Colfax-Mingo High School.
Everyone will receive a ribbon for participating. First, second and third place winners in each category will receive a gift with the first place winner riding on the float in the Jasper County Fair parade.
Registration begins Friday. To register, call (515) 674-4251 or (515) 674-4092 or email Nancy Webb at gammwebb1951@msn.com. Include the child’s name, parents’ names, town, class and age. Registration the day of the contest will begin at 8:15 a.m. and closes at 9 a.m., with no exceptions.
Classes are: 0-6 months, Master Cuddles and Lil Miss Cuddly; 7-12 months, Mr. Baseball and Lil Miss Softball; 1 year, Mr. Life Guard and Miss Bathing Beauty; 2 years, Mr. Farmer and Lil Miss Milkmaid; 3 years, Prince and Princess; and 4 years, King and Queen.
