Lake Red Rock programs schedule for for July 10-17

There’s always something happening at Lake Red Rock! Check out these great upcoming activities:

Kids Craft Day

Wednesday, July 10 from 1 to 3 p.m.
Got creative kids?  Bring your young artists to enjoy make-and-take nature craft activities!  Crafts provided through a partnership with the Red Rock Arts Alliance.

Red Rock Lake Balloonfest

July 12-14 — Lake Red Rock

Head out to Red Rock for a weekend of watching hot air balloons and other great activities!  Check out the website at www.redrocklakeballoonfest.com for the schedule of events!

Let’s Go Fly a Kite!

Friday, July 12 at 1 p.m. — North Overlook Beach

Saturday, July 13 at 3 p.m. — North Overlook Beach

Catch the breeze off Lake Red Rock for some great kite flying fun!  Bring your own kite or borrow one from us (limited number available).  Kites also available for purchase at the Red Rock Visitor Center.

Let’s Go Paddling!

Saturday, July 13 from 9 to 11 a.m. — North Overlook Beach

Here’s your chance to experience both canoeing and kayaking in the same day!  Give one or both types of watercraft a try and see how much fun paddling can be!  (You must be at least ten years old to use kayaks.  Life jackets will be provided. May be cancelled if inclement weather/lake conditions.)

Campground Wildlife

Saturday, July 13 at 1 p.m. — Red Rock Visitor Center

Join staff and “guests” from the Pella Wildlife Company for an up-close look at some furry critters that live around the lake area and may even visit campers during their stay!

Family Time at the Beach

Wednesday, July 17 at 1 p.m. — North Overlook Beach

Bring the kids out to the beach for some fun crafts and other activities in and on the sand!  All ages welcome.
