Jasper County Conservation invites the public to rent a canoe or kayak at Jacob Krumm Nature Preserve from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, and Thursday, July 18.

The programs are for those who wish to try the equipment out, sharpen their paddling skills and enjoy an evening on the lake.

To participate, register by completing a registration form on JCCB’s website at www.jaspercountyconservation.com. All registration forms need to be returned to the Jasper County Conservation’s office at 1030 W. Second St. S. in Newton prior to the events.  There is a small fee per person for use of the equipment that can be paid the night of the event. A limited number of boats are available.  Lifejackets will be provided. For more information, contact the JCCB office at (641) 792-9780.
