Newton Police Department
• Doris A. Diamond, 76, of Newton was cited with failure to maintain control after authorities responded to an accident at 5:05 p.m. Monday. Diamond was traveling west in the 300 block of South Eighth Avenue West when she struck the rear of a parked vehicle owned by Ziegler Inc. A passenger in her vehicle, 79-year-old Charles D. Diamond, complained of pain but refused medical treatment. Both vehicles sustained minor damage.
Jasper County Sheriff’s Office
• Kipp R. Schuler, 24, of University Park, was charged with driving while license barred and failure to carry registration after being stopped at mile marker 21.5 on Highway 16 at 3:16 p.m. Sunday. Schuler was arrested and taken to jail.
