Berg student council donates to JCARL

Members of Berg Middle School's student council presented $650 worth of pet food, toys and other items to the Jasper County Animal Rescue League on Friday afternoon. The majority of the money used to purchase the items was raised during a Valentine's Day fundraiser conducted by the student council. The students also donated an hour of their time to play with and tend to the animals. JCARL has recently experienced an increase in the number of dogs picked up running at-large and is utilizing its Facebook page as a means to connect owners with lost pets.
