Local advertisers make baby calendars possible

Dan Livengood of Newton Manufacturing recently presented a check for $512 to Brenda Smith, director of Skiff Home Care. The proceeds came from advertising sales for the Jasper County Empowerment Baby Calendar.

With the support from Empowerment of Jasper County and the sponsorship from area businesses, Skiff Home Care and Newton Manufacturing are able to provide the parents of every newborn in Jasper County who participate in the program with a personalized calendar that features the baby’s photo, health information and space to record significant milestones in the baby’s development. Skiff Home Care nurses deliver the calendars during their visits to new parents through the Empowerment Program.
