Boater Education Course

The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary is offering a boater education course at the Lake Red Rock Visitor Center from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 1. The course allows participants an opportunity to brush up on boating knowledge, safety requirements and general rules of the water. The class is open to beginners as well as experienced boaters of all ages, and it also fulfills the state’s boater education requirement for young boaters ages 12  to 18. The course fee is $15 for those seeking certification. For those not needing certification, the course is free of charge. Registration is required.
