A group of local volunteers worked Sunday afternoon to install a new headstone (right) for Cpl. Jacob S. Binkerd, who served in the Iowa Infantry during the Civil War but was mistakenly given a Confederate Army headstone. The volunteers, from left, were Rickie Bickle, Larry Hurto, Tim Rowley, Bill Hansen, Danny Krock, Dave Shannon, Mike Rowley (kneeling), Andy Conn, Jean Atkins, Owen Williams, Sam Walstrom and Tom Gaard.
