Newton eighth-graders complete season

The Newton eighth-grade girls basketball team recently completed its season. The A team finished with a record of 9-3, while the B team finished 10-1. The girls finished off the second half of the season by defeating four tough conference teams. The future of Newton girls basketball looks promising. The girls were under the direction of Coaches Eric Vander Velden and JoEllen Linn.
