‘Jekyll & Hyde’ coming to Des Moines
Tickets are still available for all performances of “Jekyll & Hyde The Musical,” starring American Idol star and Tony Award nominee Constantine Maroulis and Grammy Award nominee Deborah Cox and opening next week at the Civic Center of Greater Des Moines.
After four years on Broadway and multiple world-wide tours, the dark love story from Tony and Grammy Award nominee Frank Wildhorn returns in a new pre-Broadway production that includes original classic songs “This is the Moment,” “A New Life,” “Someone Like You” and more. Convinced the cure for his father’s mental illness lies in the separation of man’s good and evil natures, Dr. Henry Jekyll (Maroulis) unwittingly unleashes his own dark side, wreaking havoc in the streets of 19th century London as the savage Edward Hyde.
The show opens at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, at the Civic Center, with additional performances slated for 7:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, March 6 to 9; 6:30 p.m. Sunday, March 10; and matinee performances at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 9, and 1 p.m. Sunday, March 10.
