Phillip E. Brown

Phillip E. Brown, 69, of Newton; formerly of Gilman died on Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, at his home in Newton.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Survivors include his wife, Gloria of Newton; children, Trevor E. Brown (Misty Shaver) of Gilman, Todd A. (Val) Brown of Newton, and Teresa A. (Don) Harvey of Newton; his five granddaughters, Jocelyn Brown, Hayley Shaver, Stacie Brown, Ryleigh Harvey, and Charlene Brown; brothers and sisters, James D. Brown of Des Moines, Danny D. (Jackie) Brown of Marshalltown, Kathy Bovee of Marshalltown, Shirley McSwain of Altoona, and Beverly Towlerton of Boone; and his many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded by his parents; daughter, Stacey Rae Brown; and brother, Fred Kail.
