The Newton DECA District Competition took place on Jan. 23 at Merle Hay Mall in Des Moines. Students competed in the categories of Apparel & Accessories, Automotive Marketing, Restaurant and Food Service, Sports Marketing, Travel & Tourism, Accounting Applications, Retail Merchandising, Food Marketing, & Principles of Management. DECA is a student organization to prepare emerging leaders and entrepreneurs.
