Area Roundup:

The Lynnville-Sully girls (11-6, 10-6) were victorious over the Belle Plaine Plainsman (11-6, 11-6) on Tuesday night by a score of 45-35 on the heels of a strong second half.

The two teams were separated by just two points at halftime but enjoyed scoring outbursts from junior Casey Cullen and sophomore Lysandra James, who were the only Hawks in double figures and finished with 12 and 13 points respectively.

“The girls did a good job of executing the game plan on the defensive end. We had good rotation on defense and set the attitude for the game.” Coach Jerry Hulsing said. “We passed the ball better and knocked down open shots.”
