Supervisors approve Sheriff Halferty’s recommendations

The Jasper County Board of Supervisors approved the food contract for Jasper County Jail with CBM Managed Service on Tuesday.

Jasper County Sheriff John Halferty informed the board that food prices rose, but it was factored in the budget.

The board approved the contract extension with Morphotrak. Morphotrak provides the jail with an electronic fingerprint system and is required to have maintenance work to keep the system running. The maintenance work is estimated to cost $2,251.
