• Alyssa M. Bright, 22, of Newton was charged with serious domestic assault and aiding and abetting the violation of a no contact order after officers were called to 500 N. Ave E. #2 at 7:02 p.m. Monday. A person reported that Bright was in an argument with a male whom she had a no contact order against. Bright allegedly punched the person who reported the incident in the face. She was taken to the Jasper County Jail.
