The Prairie City-Monroe wrestling team escaped Jewell with razor-thin victory Thursday night, as the Mustangs topped the Hawks 38-37.

PCM dominated the early portions of the match, starting things off with a forfeit and then winning the next four weights. Dakota Timmins earned a 12-4 major decision at 170 pounds and was followed by PCM pins from Ron Marshall (182), Lucas Rains (195) and Blake Sidie (220) directly after.

South Hamilton caught right up after that however, thanks to a pin and three PCM forfeits. However, the Mustangs clinched the dual with pin by Ian Reed (145) and major decision from Skyler Koder (138).

PCM will be back in action on Saturday at the Heart of Iowa Conference tournament at Saydel High School.
