Students receive degrees at ISU commencement

AMES — At Iowa State University’s fall 2012 commencement ceremonies, 1,708 students received degrees. Iowa State awarded 1,388 undergraduate degrees, 210 master’s degrees, and 110 doctor of philosophy degrees.

Area graduates of Iowa State include:

Newton — Chelsea Renee Killins, bachelor of science in elementary education; Terry J. Hornbuckle, master of family and consumer sciences; Zachary Aaron Keninger, master of science in natural resource ecology and management, also a recipient of the University Teaching Excellence Award.

Kellogg — Michael Curtis Gruhn, bachelor of science in agricultural systems technology.

Colfax — Tyler Blaine Johnson, bachelor of science in computer engineering; Robert Douglas Patterson, bachelor of arts in interdisciplinary studies and bachelor of science in psychology.

Monroe — Cole John Van Ryswyk, bachelor of science in construction engineering.
