RSVP supporting food pantry on MLK Day

Text Size: AaAaAaAaAa

In honor of Martin Luther King Day, the Retired & Senior Volunteer Program of Jasper County will distribute informational cards between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday at Walgreens, Hy-Vee and Fareway in Newton to inform customers that RSVP is collecting paper and personal care goods for The Salvation Army.

These items were chosen due to the fact they are often overlooked and can have heavier price tags than other items at the food pantry.

Volunteers are always needed at RSVP. Call 792-6433 for more information.
