Gun control won’t help, but no need for assault weapons
To the editor:
Folks, Once upon a time I also believed that the government might wish to know exactly who owns the guns in America so if need be they could take them from us as happened for example in Germany if they wished. Today, I doubt if they could or would need to do such a thing no matter if we the people went up in arms against our government. How long do you think it would take for the government to stop the flow of Ammo to the private system?
Gun and weapons manufacturing is one of the biggest businesses in our world. We also find this to be a fact; If the fear of shortage or the threat of any product becoming unavailable may cause people to trample one another to stock up or purchase blindly. And that is what is happening in the gun market. I personally do not see more gun controls doing much good, however I see no need for assault weapons in the hands of hunters or civilians unless you are a collector. However I also see no need for automobiles or motor cycles that travel over the speed of say 80 miles per hour, unless you wish to have them for a race track. Then too, as opinionated as I am, I see no need to have a cell phone pressed to your ear constantly as you drive. Sorry, I got off subject of the gun control issue.
