The Jasper County Democratic Central Committee is hosting a Democratic Fun Night Pre-Inaugural Celebration from 6 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, at the American Legion in Newton. 

Event activities include dinner served by Magg Family Catering from 6 to 7 p.m., live music provided by the Harvest Band and other local talent, games and prizes, including a Kindle Fire, flatscreen TV, and $50 Visa gift card.
