The Jasper County Conservation Board and Jasper County Elderly Nutrition will host an Older, Wiser, Livelier Seniors program on Wednesday at the Jasper County Community Center.

The public is invited to come for 10 a.m. coffee and a program. Naturalist Katie Cantu will present a program on how tiny songbirds such as chickadees are able to survive Iowa’s long winters. She will any questions about birds and will help participants get started in their own backyard bird feeding project.

The O.W.L.S. program is a conservation program that encourages seniors to stay active and learn new things about the natural world. For more information, contact Cantu at (641) 792-9780.
