Speedway donates $1,000 to Christmas Club

Representatives of the Iowa Speedway in Newton presented the St. Nick’s Christmas Club with a $1,000 donation to assist the club’s efforts to provide toys, clothing and food to hundreds of needy children in Jasper County this Christmas. A portion of the funds were raised Thursday when rides in the raceway’s pace car were given during the Newton Club and Suites Holders annual Christmas party. The balance came from the Iowa Speedway Foundation.
