Dennis G. Farver, 63, of Newton died on Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at his home in Newton.    

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 12, at the First Lutheran Church in Newton. The family will greet friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton. A private family burial will be held at the Union Chapel Cemetery in rural Ira.

Memorials to the Dennis Farver Memorial Fund may be left at the funeral home or at the church on the afternoon of the service. Memorials may also be mailed to the funeral home, please add, Attn: Farver Family on the envelope.

Survivors include his wife, Diane of Newton; children, Adam R. (Tara) Farver of Fountain Hills, Arizona, Cari L. Farver of Macedonia, John J. (Hilary) Farver of Des Moines, and Jarod W. Farver of San Diego, California; his three grandchildren, Max, Luke, and Liam Farver; four brothers, Tom (Carol) Farver of Newton, Steve (Eric Lindberg) Farver of Chicago, Jeff (Vickie) Farver of Newton, and Mark (Vicky) Farver of Newton; his nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and mother-in-law, Marian Bedinger.
