Robert Kenneth “Bob” Doty, 56, of Mingo, died on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at his home. Services were held at Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton. Memorials in Bob’s name may be left at the funeral home.

Bob, the son of Kenneth E. and Marilyn (Maxwell) Doty, was born March 15, 1956, in Des Moines, Iowa. Bob was a lifelong resident of Mingo and a graduate of Mingo High School in 1974.

Bob worked for the Iowa Department of Transportation as a work horse. He enjoyed being with his grandchildren. He also liked pulling pranks on people. He was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend.
