The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program is hosting a fundraiser this holiday season. The group is now selling afghans for $45 that feature popular points of interest in Newton, including the Ol’ Lonely sculpture, Iowa Speedway, Maytag Bowl, Jasper County Courthouse, Maytag blue cheese, the Valle Drive-In and more.

To order an afghan, call (641) 792-6433 or stop by the Iowa State University Extension & Outreach office located inside DMACC, 550 N. Second Ave. W.

RSVP volunteers help with the Jasper County RIDE program, HEART reading program at Jasper County elementary schools, Free Tax Preparation, Companionship and many other local opportunities.
